Since I was a little child I was told not to enter that wood beyond the country road.
That place has always stimulated my fantasies, desires, imagination.
And I always knew that, for some reason, it was waiting for me.
These were my thoughts as I walked towards it, crossing the threshold of the unknown.

|
As I entered the forest everything turned dark and gloomy.
Distant howling creatures were approaching. They were scary, aggressive, they had no distinct shape, and they were fluctuating in the middle of the air.
I ran away as fast as I could, surrounded by these dissonant screams.
I finally collapsed onto the humid terrain, hidden by the branches of a big tree, with the sunlight playing through the leaves.
The creatures creeped all around and slowly faded away.

|
I rested in that shelter in between sleep and wakefulness for a long time; hours, maybe days.
It was like a soft womb.
While laying there, I could see a small gathering of salamanders, which attracted my attention.
They were carefully planning something.
They finally stood in a circle and…. standing still, with just the strength of their will, they started levitating the elements around them, merging and modeling them like clay, slowly taking the form of a gigantic tower.
With a mix of amazement and disbelief I continued to watch this mysterious object, that took the form of an immense mausoleum.

Learning a New Language

As the animals went away I came out of the shelter, finding myself in a magic place full of energy.
The trees around me gently started swinging their branches. They were trying to tell me something.
They engaged in a sweet hypnotic dance.
As I fell apart the plants continued their effort to communicate.
Their words poured out to my brain, slowly at first, then faster, like tiny blades.
It all started to make sense: I was learning their language.
In the end it was perfectly clear to me what they wanted to tell: I knew I had to enter that magnificent tower.

|
I took my first uncertain steps into this maze. Rays of light cast strange shadows on the wall, but, ignoring my fear, I proceeded with determination in the journey.
I knew important discoveries were waiting for me.
It was like I knew what I could have found there, but only when the king lizard revealed itself to me, all of a sudden everything was clear.
I can’t tell or repeat what the enlightened creature told me, but it will remain forever in my conscience as an inner guide.
Peace and harmony invaded me as a ray of light teleported me out of this realm.

Returning Home

|
As I walk home my sight is clear, my mind is open and I am ready to undertake the future path in this world with firm steps.
